Mak: Incredible matches with Bosnia
Mak: Incredible matches with Bosnia 12. September 2013

Even though Róbert Mak was only put into the two-match qualifier with Bosnia and Herzegovina for a short time, he came away from it with a wonderful experience. He was particularly fascinated by the atmosphere in the stands.

"We went into the first match with the idea that we could only surprise, and that we managed to do. We won 1-0 and were quite satisfied with the way we played. I think the team was more than super in the second game, at least in the first half, yet we unfortunately ended up losing. We got punished by the Bosnians for failing to convert two opportunities and they scored two goals. It's a pity about what happened, but I don’t think we should be ashamed of how we played in those matches. For us, they were two incredible games. Coach Kozák brought something new to the team, something that kicked us and got us going. We gave it two hundred percent and everybody in Slovakia said we played incredible football. Although I only played about ten minutes, I still tried to help our team while I was out there. However, it was just a short time for me to prove myself. The team gave a really good performance in both matches. What I experienced in Bosnia and then also in Slovakia, I have not yet seen in Germany. The Bosnians created an incredible atmosphere. It’s a poor country, too, but those people have done what they could for football... And nine thousand of them came to Žilina, now that was something amazing. It was incredible and fantastic," this was how Robo summed up his impressions and experiences in a remarkable confrontation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
